Al Fahim 2G Interview – Fatma AbdulJalil AlFahim

1- How would you like to introduce yourself to the Group Family?

I am Fatma AbdulJalil AlFahim and I am a member of the supervisory board, a wife and a mother of four. And lately we received our little precious bundle of Joy “Ahmed Saeed Ahmed AbdulJalil Al Fahim” who made me a grandmother for the first time.
I also identify as a fashion/interior designer by trade.

2- How would you describe your personal journey in the Arts and Fashion design industry?

I started to develop an interest in Arts and Fashion at an early age. Throughout the years I was able to accumulate the knowledge and skills which helped me start my own business in Fashion Design. It was a great privilege to have been featured in several magazines like Villa 88, Marie Clair, Harpers Bazzar, Elle, هي, and the 50U book, all of which has been a rewarding experience that made me seek a better understanding of the industry and pushed me to develop my work and skills further.

3- You mentioned Interior designing and that you like to be identified as one… What was the project that you consider to be the highlight of your career journey?

The most important project to me was the refurbishment of AlFahim Family Main Majlis in Abu Dhabi, AlBateen Area. I am proud that I have been assigned to work on this project from start to finish. This has proved a great trust from my family in my capabilities and skills in executing a key project with such importance to them.

4- Are you thinking of expanding your business in the near future?

I am currently working on several small projects mainly in Dubai with an aspiration to establishing a local team to cater for bigger projects and expand the activities throughout the emirates.

5- What will be your words of advice to the young generation starting their career in the Family Group?

I wish I am able to set a good example for the young generation of my family members in perusing their dreams and committing to their work in order to add value and contribute to the economy of our country.
