Beyond Borders by First Abu Dhabi Bank

On May 21, 2024, First Abu Dhabi Bank hosted the “Beyond Borders" event at Park Hyatt, Al Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. The event provided clients with market insights and discussed trending topics, including family business governance and succession planning.
Amongst the panelists were two Al Fahim family members: Khaled Abdul Karim, who discussed family business challenges in the UAE, sharing advice from Al Fahim Group and other GCC family businesses, and Hamad Saeed from MBI who contributed to discussions on family business topics.

2nd Supervisory Board Meeting 2024

The second Supervisory Board Meeting of the year was held on 26th June at the Al Fahim Head office in the Fairmont Hotel.

Official Opening of AF Technology in Pakistan

Al Fahim Group proudly announces the inauguration of its first international back office – AF Technology – in Lahore, Pakistan, on 7th May 2024, led by Chairman Mr. Ahmed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim and Khalifa Ahmad. As part of a strategic initiative to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs, Al Fahim Group has restructured various departments, including IT, Finance, HR, and other business units, by establishing a new back office in Lahore. This move allows the company to optimize expenses while maintaining high-quality service. Over 20 employees are already contributing to the success of the new facility, and the project is expanding to bring in more positions to further cut costs and improve efficiency.

Al Fahim Group Partners with Red Crescent for Orphan Day Celebration

In a heartfelt initiative to give back to the community, Al Fahim Group has partnered with Red Crescent to celebrate Orphan Day. The event, held on June 26, 2024, at the AFG Training Room in Mussafah, brought together Al Fahim employees and children from Red Crescent for a fun day filled with arts and crafts activities and meaningful interactions. This collaboration highlights Al Fahim Group’s commitment to making a positive impact and strengthening community spirit.

Avani

Avani+ Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites received the Highly Commended award for Best CSR Initiative of the Year at the Leaders in Hospitality Awards 2024, hosted by Hotel & Catering News. The award stands testament of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at fostering positive change within the community, which include supporting cancer patients, distributing goodie packs to children battling illnesses, Ramadan food donations, recycling and reduction of food waste, health awareness programs, charity donations, can collection campaigns, green events initiative, amongst many others.

Central Motors (CME)

Osram Awarded Central Motors & Equipment with the “Osram Excellence Award” on the 13th of May. The award was handed to Central Motors for achieving the highest volume in the Middle East for Osram Xenon lights in 2023.

Eastern Motors

Eastern Motors proudly announces the grand opening of its newly refurbished showroom and advanced active service center on the 9th of May, marking a significant stride in delivering unparalleled automotive experiences in the region.
The unveiling ceremony, graced by esteemed guests including Mr. Ahmed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of Al Fahim Group, and Mr. Michael Stroband, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East, showcased the culmination of months of meticulous planning and effort.

EMC

Family SUV Weekend – On the 8th & 9th of June, EMC hosted an exciting family-focused SUV Weekend across three locations: Airport Road, Marina Mall, and the Al Ain Showroom. The event featured special discounts on SUVs, 50% off all accessories, and engaging kids’ activities such as a coloring wall, face painting, and a workshop area.

EPICO

Al Fahim Group’s IT department is proud to announce the completion of the TULI-EPICO project. This project replaces a 20-year-old ERP system that was long overdue for an upgrade. The new system introduces numerous enhancements and features, streamlining EPICO’s business operations and providing mobility for our tenants, enabling them to handle everything from maintenance requests to contract renewals. Following this success, the next phase will involve replacing the Group’s 20-year-old Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics systems.

Fairmont Bab Al Bahr

Fairmont Bab Al Bahr participated in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) where they connected with key industry leaders.

Marjan

• ADNOC ONSHORE awarded a Long-Term Contract worth AED 10.4 million on MARJAN through its partner, CRESCENT, for design, manufacture, and supply of 2” – 20” bore Globe Valves for three (3) years.
• MARJAN executed an intelligent pigging service successfully for Petrofac, UAE. The first of MFL operations ever undertaken and executed by MARJAN through its strategic partnership.
• MARJAN is in possession of contracts and orders worth AED 72 million as on the reporting date for execution in the fiscal year and onwards.
• MARJAN registered a Sales Turnover of over AED 24.5 million as of May, 2024 from both upstream and downstream sectors, with an increase of 7% revenue Vs budget.
